Unit 2: Hindu Practices

This unit focuses on the diverse ways in which Hindus express their beliefs through worship, rituals and daily living. Students will explore practices such as puja at home and in the mandir, the significance of festivals, pilgrimage and yoga. Attention is given to how these practices reflect and reinforce core Hindu beliefs, and how they vary across different traditions and communities.

  • Show the connection between belief and practice in lived Hindu Dharma.
  • Provide authentic examples from scripture, tradition and contemporary Hindu life.
